My name is Natalie Sharpe, and I am proud to be the Head Teacher and Director of Uneek Primary Lower.
At Uneek, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, understood and supported. We recognise that every child is unique, with their own strengths, interests, challenges and ways of learning. For some children, a traditional school environment has not always worked for them, and we are passionate about providing a different approach.
The early years of a child’s education are incredibly important. From EYFS through to Year 4, we focus on creating strong foundations for learning, confidence, communication, relationships and emotional wellbeing.
Our aim is to create a nurturing, calm and supportive environment where children feel secure and can build trusting relationships. We want every child to develop a positive connection with learning and feel confident to explore, grow and achieve in their own individual way.
We understand that education is about so much more than academic achievement. At Uneek Primary Lower, we support the whole child. Alongside learning, we focus on emotional wellbeing, communication, social development, independence and the important skills children need as they progress through their education.
Our small and dedicated team takes the time to get to know every child as an individual. We work closely with families and other professionals to ensure that the support we provide is personalised, meaningful and suited to each child’s individual needs. We want every child who joins us to know that they belong here and that they are accepted and valued for exactly who they are.
I am incredibly proud of the environment we are creating at Uneek Primary Lower and the difference our team makes to the lives of the children and families we support. We are committed to helping every child take positive steps forward, no matter how big or small those steps may be, and celebrating every achievement along the way.
